Order and dispatch

We aim to dispatch within 48 hours. Delays may occur if we are out of stock, have problems with clearing payments or if there are any issues with our courier services. Please make sure we have a contact telephone number or email address in case we need to advise you of your order status.

If you have specific colour or pattern requirements, please use the comment box in the shopping cart before you check out. 

Payment

We accept most credit cards. For internet orders payment is organised through a secure third party site. We do not hold credit card details. The Costume Store does not authorise payment until goods are ready for dispatch.

Delivery

Our standard dispatch charge is £7.50 using Royal Mail 24 Hour Track and Trace. Rates depend on weight and dimensions and we may be able to reduce the charge for small parcels. Parcels over 2kg and under 10kg or longer than 90cm will be sent by courier and will cost £12.50.  We will contact you with a quote for heavier parcels.

Please ensure that there is someone to sign for deliveries.

Delivery charges for overseas orders depend on weight, dimensions and destination.  Please contact us for a quote.

Returns

If you need to return goods for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible and we can arrange replacement items or a credit note.   In some cases there may be a re-stocking charge. Return postage is the responsibility of the client and you should obtain a proof of postage certificate, available from any Post Office.

Refunds will not be given without a telephone call or email.

Prices & VAT

Prices quoted do not include VAT (currently charged at 20%). VAT is not chargeable on overseas orders to countries outside the EU. For EU countries VAT is not chargeable if you can provide us with your VAT number; however, if a VAT number is not provided VAT will be charged at the UK rate. VAT is payable on dispatch charges. All prices are subject to alteration without notice. 

Trade Descriptions Act

Every care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions and specifications of our products are correct. However, as some of our products are ends of lines or limited stock, we reserve the right to make variations on items illustrated. 

Data Protection Act

We will never pass on your personal details to third parties.

We are continually looking to improve our service. Your comments are important, so please do write, telephone or email us your comments. We welcome your feedback and suggestions for new items. If we think they will be a good addition to stock, we'll try and track them down!
